Team Matrix had the winning pitch at the inaugural Glossopdale Soup event on 9 March 2023 – Matrix were honoured to have won some funding to provide training sessions during the day for young people excluded from school or experiencing difficulties with their education.
All of the students who grade with us are nationally recognised and are entered into the BMABA Lifetime Student Grading Register.
Once on this register, each student has a unique grade record for life assigned to each martial artist.

Our very own Sensei, Jake Johnson won the GOLD in the Gi division of the All Star BJJ Manchester Pro 2023 (April 2023). He massively sets the example that hard work and sheer determination really pay off.
We’re now planning to start grading at the end of September. We’re just arranging the date and will keep you updated. In the meantime, keep your attendance up. Let’s push!
