We’re a modern day martial arts school built on the principles of growth, balance and natural order – working with our students to develop personal strength, confidence and resilience at all levels. Physically, mentally and emotionally.
And most importantly, we have an absolute blast doing it.
Sensei Jake Johnson, world champion 3rd Dan Black Belt, kickstarted Matrix in 2020. Since then, it’s fast become one of the most popular martial arts training destinations in Glossop.

OUR DOJO
Whether you’re just starting out or planning for your next competition, you’ll be training in a dojo designed to keep you moving and motivated.
Our new dojo (coming soon) will be fully kitted out with:
- Padded flooring for general safety and grappling
- A range of equipment for training and classes
- Areas available for training and classes
